I am getting a Sony DCRTRV25 Mini DV camera in a few days

Does anyone know what hardware will I need to get videos onto my pc (just a USB slot or some type of pci card?)

Also, what are your opinions on this camera?

Is this a decent quality camera ?

Thx

You'll need a firewire card if you want to download DV to your computer

USB is only used for transfering MPEG movies and pictures from the camera

it's al alright camera, i was looking at the TRV27, which is the same as the 25 but just has a larger LCD.

I looked at the TRV27 as well....bigger screen is better but I think it costs like $200 more

go to www.rewindvideo.com and ask them that same question. It's a bunch of very well read amateur filmmakers. The owners of the site are based in calgary.

They'll tell you everything:)
