when to replace brakes?

Help?!

I just had my car serviced at the dealership and they informed me that my brakes are at 30%. Does this mean i have to replace them now or can i wait till 20% or 10%?

Also does anyone know approximately how much brakes cost in calgary?

Id say its a good idea to replace your pads soon, unless you want to wait til you can hear them screachin'! Im sure you could get pads for fairly cheap depending what you get. Hawk pads are good, not more than $100 as far as i recall?

most disc brakes have squeeler pads. this means that when you start to hear a squeel its time to change! Its like a built in alarm! :thumbsup:
