My mother and I are integrating an Ipod into my father's e46it as a christmas present. I know there are two ways that it can be hooked up...

1) A car kit from Future Shop
2) OEM kit from BMW

I need to know everything about it (ie: I heard it does not work with some BMW's and you need updated software)....Calgary BMW is dicking around with me, and quite frankly, I'm becoming quite po'ed. So I thought I'd come here and ask you Bimmer guru's. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated from you guys. Happy Holidays!

Signed,

Ethan

Sounds like a great Christmas gift. Good luck with the setup.

cant you just hook it up straight into the internal amp and use the tape/cd/tuner buttons to control it...
im sure theres a cd player so put the ipod as tape?

yeah that's what he's talking about.

There's also the icelink. I don't know the URL but yeah that works almost like the OEM one except I heard they're working on one that displays the track name on the stock head unit too;)
