Bringing back Toyota's Sports Cars (PLEASE READ)

Due to the overwhelming opinion that Toyota needs to develop, or release a "sports car" in replacement of losing the mr-s and the celica, I have created this petition.

Seriously how can people think online petitions do anything. If you were serious, you would come up with a report, get peoples opinions and PRESENT it to them..

lol i didnt start it for the people that think i did....i like toyotas more then subarus and hondas and i think that they should bring some of cars back.....ur telling me ur nots missing the supra ??wat ever i tried and all i got was negavity....:thumbsdow

well i have to disagree with a lot of u guys....the power the consumer holds in an economy governed by capitalism is amazingly great, if toyota does see this petetion signed by a HUGE (i.e. not 26) number of people they may do something....for those of u who care about the toyota sports cars it wouldn't hurt to throw ur name on a stupid petetion, me personaly i could give less of a shit if toyota changed their whole line up to trucks, and minivans lol......but neways, when u see something happening that is bothering you, don't just sit there and be like shit that sux, well back to HL2, do something about it, be active lol

The problem is, no corporation is gonna care about 26 Million signatures of possible buyers, let alone 26.

Want Toyota to jump back into Sport Car scene? Buy lots of 350Z, RX8, RSX, Impreza etc and make these car hugely profitable. Once Toyota see the $$, they'll come.

You'll only be without a Toyota sports car for a year.. 2005 is the last year of the Celica, and 2007 is when a completely new sports car comes out (I haven't been told the name yet).. I can't really give any details on this car, but from what I hear it's going to be a good performer and have an affordable price tag.

Unfortunately there are no immediate plans to bring Scion into Canada, which upsets me as I'd love an xB..

I don't have any particular love for scion as a brand, I just really like the styling of the xB. It's a neat, boxy little truck/suv/van/wagon/whatever that could be really cool with a few tasteful mods.

My only complaint with the xB is the anemic echo powerplant, If it is possible to put the 180hp Celica GTS engine in the xB, It would be an absolute blast.

It probably won't be called the supra. I've heard a couple ideas on what it may be called, but Toyota is really tight-lipped about this one. (As they always are with new model releases) I don't know if it'll be big and heavy, but it's supposed to be a REAL performer. RWD or AWD and serious power.

Apparently Toyota is going to try to keep the price reasonable to avoid the "price creep" that happened with the last supras. The last gen Supra was a wicked car, it just became unaffordable to the average working class individual.
