Cheap HP?

Vehicle: '03 Mitsubishi Montero Sport Limited 4WD 3.5L
I wish to increase the HP
Please advise ways to do so with only about a $500 budget.
I understand that APC makes an entire replacement air intake kit for around $160 but K&N only provides a performance enhancing filter for around $55. What kind of HP increase can I expect from these options? Also, does anyone recommend the Tornado insert?
Finally, does anyone have a replacement Chip recommendation?

Probably 1-5 HP with an intake system.

The tornado system is a gimmick that has no performance valu whatsoever.

the only thing i would do to that car is intake and headers maybe. i would say exhaust aswell, but that doesn't go too well with ur vehicle IMO. or if u did get an exhaust, at least don't get a loud fart can, and throw a silencer on it:thumbsup:
