Gotta be more specific.

Whatever phone you get, you will have to get a rogers phone/rogers line to keep your same #. That goes for a monthly plan or pay as you go.

If you go with telus, you will have a new number, need a new phone and new plan.

say i saw a phone at telus, could i buy it without a contract, bring it to rogers and hook it up? or no.

Most likely no. In the good old days, you could. I think now you can't.

all phones being sold under telus/roger are like cuimstomed talored and programmed. thats why u see telus/roger logos on startup screens and stuff.

yea telus got some nice phones, my mom just got the samsung color one, its cool.

Telus is on a CDMA network whereas Rogers is on TDMA and GSM so Telus phones are not gonna work on the Rogers network unless you get their anolog phones which are pretty much obsolete. Just stick to Rogers cause if you sign a new contract or get any kind of new activation, the phone companies will bill you by the minute instead of by the second like they used to.

No, if you make a 15 second call, they're gonna charge you a minute instead of just 15 seconds like they used to.

Rogers has brought up some really nice phones in the last few months, and their GSM system has just paved the way for better phones. Stick with em for a bit and see what they have to offer. Nokia and Ericsson are still manufacturing some great phones for the GSM network.

You mean those stupid sticker things you can buy on ebay?? They probably work as well as an electric turbo.

I've been using Telus for 3 years now. I have 2 phones with them and have never had any problems. One of my contracts was up for renewal but I didn't want to be locked into another contract, so I let it go month to month.

I also heard from someone in the cell phone industry that Rogers and Fido most likely won't be around in another 18 months, I heard they both are going broke :dunno:

All people going month to month on Telus I would reccomend locking into thier plan if they like it as it will guarentee them a billing by the second rate. All Month to monthers will move to bill by the minute as of January.

I was on "The Big Deal" that was on a huge deal last christmas. It gives me unlimited weekend calling and Free LD on weekends. They discontinued that in August, and now I just renewed it for 3 more years, hahaha, they dont make much off me...especially with telus employee discount.

Billing by the minute? Jesus... isn't this a step back towards the days of analogue? I'm glad I still have my ClearNet plan.

My dad just bought the phone you are picking up tommorow Benny (It's the colored version, right?). It's pretty sweet! I really like the E-mail setup also. The game on the phone is kind of weird though, only played it for like 30 seconds, reminded me on Bomberman.

I just bought a Motorola V60g and have it on Rogers GSM... works great. So much better than my old TDMA phone.

Haven't had any reception problems or anything like that compared with my old TDMA.
