WTB: PC link for Sony Minidisc MZ-R500

its not a cable, but i have a MZ-R500 with an optical line in. How can transfer files from my computer to the MD, rather than playing the whole song and recording it on the disc?

Sorry guy, your's is a recorder, not a Net MD

Your MD will never be able to transfer songs from the computer via USB.

The only way to record stuff is like you said. Push play on and output device and record on your MD and then play it all.
