I bought one from these guys for $40.00 canadian including shipipng.. I see they have them now for cheaper but then you pay shipping, either way they are worth it and work well. Also cheaper than in stores here for the most part.

Actually, i'm looking for something like this but for a 5.25" so i can fit a dvd writer. If we both buy one, maybe we can save on shipping. Are you looking for USB or firewire? I can look into it and let you know.

they sell them for like $60...u get what u pay for tho, i bought one from a store across from memory express on 32nd ave in the NE, there are like 4 computer shops there, check them all out, shouldnt' run u more than $60 plus GST....the one for $60 that i got was USB 2.0...the more expensive ones have firewire connections n stuff...

Well i e-mailed the guy, so when i get a response from him i'll let you know. Might be like 70 American for the both of us...so about 100 all said and done...divided by 2.

go to costco, they sell enclosures for both writers and HDDs i think they're like $40 or something like that

Seriously Pick them up locally. It works out better cause you get to see the product. They start at around 40 dollars.
