I like the exterior styling of the G35 more.
And although the 350Z just came out, its already been played out. All I hear now is "350Z this, 350Z that". I'm already sick of the car.

SilverRex, you have to specify what these cars are better for. Their intended use, that is. Then one can try and decide which is better.

I'm pretty sure intended use is for street driving since we don't do much rally here.

your right but the problem is, ppl wont buy these car just for the tracks.

however the dilema, even though everyone knows the 350z is meant for the tracks, the G35 coupe has better handling so what do you do?

I think we have a winner

G35 Coupe for me.

It's pimper, rarer, classier, more features, and basically just as fast. I like the styling a bit better, looks a bit more bling.

IMO.

I think we have a winner  the g35 doesnt handle better than the 350z u knob. it has softer suspension, its WAY heavier, and its got a longer wheelbase.

just because you happened to find a skidpad # thats higher for the g35 than the 350z doesnt mean it handles better. are the #s from the same source? were the tests performed in the same conditions? and even if they were, the term "handling" encompasses far more than a cars roadholding ability.

maybe u have a point but over all, it all depends on what ppl want. a steal at the price to be able to drive something as high end as the coupe. you feel like a million bucks. after all even if the 350z waz better, its not far better by a long shot.

I would pick the car that is least popular on the street, the 350z is selling hot cakes.. time to be a little different and opt for the coupe baby..

as for the overall car, im pretty undecided...the 350z's interior leaves something to be desired for 45 grand...whereas the g35c's interior is topnotch.

Definitely the 350Z!!

I don't think 350Z's are played out, that is purely subjected to personal opinion. Nissan did a fantastic job marketing this car, like most new cars there is such a high initial demand. We will wait and see if this demand subsides a little bit a year from now.

A white 350Z coupe would be so sweet but I think a Hamann 330 Cab would be even more sweeter

I vote: I LOVE BOTH.

Where's that friggin' choice in the poll up top?

Anywho, I really hope Nissan/Infiniti does well for themselves again, it seemed like they fell off map for a while. Their new line-up looks awesome. Lots much Honda and Toyota going on these days, the roads are looking boring even the modded cars. It's time for some Nissan action. Can't wait for the Murano and Mazda 6.
 :burnout:

Hmm... I don't really think the 350Z is getting played out yet. I mean sure, there's a lot of talk about it, but which anticipated sports car didn't get that upon release?

I like the 350 Z a lot, yet the last few days driving around town, I've spotted quite a few G35 coupes as well and damn they are pimp.

I guess it depends on what you want out of your car. Personally I would pick the 350Z, heh already seeing aftermarket goodies and yeah, that track package looks

I've driven in the G35 and while I haven't driven in a 350Z I think it's a no brainer to go with the G35.

A) It will hold its value better even though they share most parts because it's an Infinity.
B) Performance is very close between the two.
C) Most prefer the styling of the G35 (especially from the rear)
D) The G35 has a nicer interior.

The only reason to take a 350Z would be that you actually prefer its exterior which is a personal taste thing. Otherwise you would have to be pretty short on the brain cell count.

In Japan the Skyline is the G35 (we get here) plus some of the usual goodies that never make it to North America.

2005 6spd G35s are 298hp. Auto is 280

I believe the 2003s were 280hp with the 6spd and 260 with the auto.

The G35 is a no-brainer, even though it's an old thread. Performance isn't everything, and the G35 is a pretty quick car anyways. The interior and ride quality are probably eleventy billion times better. I'd take a G35.:dunno:

it is an old thread, but from experience driving both, the G coupe hands down. That car has class written all over it and yet when you get on the gas it goes........ resale will always be there just because someone who has to have a car to be "someone" will always go for an Infiniti over a Nissan, that and a friend of mine has a 91 Mustang GT with almost nothing done to it and he raped the living hell out of our other friends 350..

350z has a better looking exterior. with the copper option its out of this world. the g35 coupe is also a nice car but is more towards the luxury side rather than the sporty side. overall, personally i would take the 350z but thats just my preference

Why would you spend $2300 more for an special aniversary 350Z with 2 extra hp when you can get the infinity and it's better resale value, better looks, and back seats.

i wouldn't spend extra for the aniversery edition, but i would for the track edition, after all, everyone refers to the 350z as "track only," with only 30% ment for the road, and the rest, for the track

G35 couple doesn't come with a manual unless you get the M6 version, which is actually 298 hp, 280 lb-ft, or something like that.

Still, it looks better.
