Those were taken on my desk BTW, with no special lighting or anything. I'll try it with more lights for a really shiny effect.:D

Chevy xtreme lowlow...:bigpimp: Ive won in shows with this... Custom interior with flames, crazy paint, lots time alone just on that.. everything from the motor to the frame all fades the same way,

chevy Xtreme, modded into a 4x4 also won shows with this one.. lotsa extras done to it.. corvette grill, cowl hood, scratch made exaust lift, suspention Interior and faded paint job :thumbsup:

whitetrash looking good, do you use that spray can type thing for the model paints to paint them (kind of makes into into a spray can/spray gun like the real type) or do you paint it with a brush.

I will post pictures of all mine in a little, our camera sucks so I will try and make due :P I only have 1 built plastic one left here tho, and its pink cause I bought it half doen an dfinished the rest. I guess I should do the other ones int he closet sometime.

Used airbrush. It takes a really long time. Even now I don't have any time to work on my kits anymore, I only get the cement, puttying, and priming done. No paint so most of my stuff is all grey right now.
That guy is long gone, I gave it to my friend for her birthday like 3 years ago.

whitetrash - i'd like more pics of those suposed 'contest winners'........they don't like show winning jaw dropping quality to me. If I had pics of my stuff :( I've been into modeling for 11 years now, I just dont have a camera to show all my work.

Thanks man.... i use car paint.. the lil cans you buy at auto value, lotsa great colors and it doesnt run or anything as bad as normal spray paints. just gotta prep them good tho use primer and clear coat

They were show winners, back when i was 17/18.... so that was like 4/5 years ago, they have been sittin around so now they have a good layer of dust on them and finger prints from my friends dickin around with and breakin parts off , and i used a POS 30 doller web cam to take those pics so the quality isnt that great... if it was a better camara and better lighting they would look alot better.....Ive got my stack of ribbons and plaqs to back em up tho...:D

Was just wondering ;) I won a contest at the world of wheels a few years back with an Impala. Got me $150 for pm hobby and 2 model kits to pick from the display they had going. unfortunatly my little bro was 6 years old into modeling and painted it, then dropped it on the floor and tried gluing it back together with elmers glue and epoxy lol

superstore when they have them they have some nice ones. They had a Nismo 350Z. I know Walmart has alot of them but the 1:18 scales I either have or am getting, like I dont need 3 different colors of 57 Thunderbirds, Ill get one color thanks.

Some of the other ones are all iek 1:24 which I dont like, want the big ones :(

Damn I thought this thread was about scale model kits, not diecast.
Anyways, here is a pic of what I am currently working on.

These are 1/200 scale (probably doesn't mean much but I put my chapstick next to them so you guys can see how small they are)
I just finished test fitting them, everything seems to be ok, so now I gotta take them all apart, cement and putty to get rid of the seams, maybe do some custom work on them, prime them, paint, etc the whole pro deal :D

It's the players edition from Maisto I htink is how u spell it, they are hard as hell to find and I mean they aint 100 for it but they are still more then the hot wheels ferraris etc.. I'm picking up a lambo players eiditon and a fixed up viper that are pretty tight aswell.
