I work at Futureshop (Owned by same company as bestbuy) and our return policy is really simply. We print you off gift receipts so that the person receiving the gift cant tell how much money was spent on you. Its still a legitimate receipt though. So bring in the Ipod and the receipt to best buy, and they'll either return the full amount of money back to you, or offer store credit (exchange) for the full amount that the ipod cost. Might be an option to get some more money back on it.

So if you can return it and get store credit, why don't you do that and then try to sell the store credit at a discount? If you get $428 credit, you could probably get more than $340 for it and whoever buys it can do as they please with the credit. Win-win.
