Does anyone know if this thing will be built on the 300 frame? It looks like it probably will be from the pic

Built on the LX platform just like the 300 (300C) and the Magnum.

i still think it should be a coupe, not a sedan, since it is using the charger nameplate.

exactly, it would be really cool to see the R/T nameplate again...

but you know what this means??

this means that they are gonna do a new "Dukes"...with like Luke Wilson and Ben Stiller, as Bo and Luke...

Holy shit. I was just watching MTV Cribs and they were showing celebrities cars. Funk's charger is the shit. I usually dont like muscle cars but that car is off the hook. And this new one looks like a big pile of shit.

Front end looks awkward but other than that it looks mean.

For some reason, it reminds me of a mix between the new Mustang and the Chrysler 300

I like the back end, but that is it. The interior does NOT go with the exterior styling at all. . I love the 300c tho.

The back door area is so fuckin ugly!:barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:
the car in general is just plain nasty!

2 worst features:

1) 4 doors.

2) big plastic cover on engine. It's a Hemi, don't try to cover it up. I'm not afraid of valve covers, why hide them?

And of course, they cram the hemi in yet another bland sedan. Way to bury a legend. :thumbsdow

Try Seann W. Scott, and Johnny Knoxville... Along with Jessica Simpson, Burt Reynolds and the Broken Lizzard Group (super troopers, club dread)

The Hemi is getting raped by Chrysler. We already have 1 Hemi sedan, and two wagons (300C wagen is available in Europe) a Hemi truck (Ram), a big Hemi SUV (Durango) and several midsize ones (the lineup of Jeeps). Last thing we need is another Hemi sedan.

To make the Hemi what it really is, they need to make a Charger V6, Charger Hemi, and Charger SRT-8 Hemi. The SRT8 should be labelled as R/T because it is most powerful (even though original R/Ts were all Hemis, the base Hemi is nowhere near as cool as the SRT8).

An SRT8 coupe? A C6 rival available for similar price and possibly more luxury.

Charger sedan = uber ghey. The 300C is pimp. Why don't they just throw the Hemi in the Crossfire platform and call it the Charger (with a few non-mercedez styling of course!)?

this new charger is the ugliest car Chrysler has rolled out yet... all their new ones are so nice, but this one just broke that nice little winning streak.

if they just kept the magnum front end and added like a cool front bumper it would have looked better

Doesn't look too good either. Sorry but that car wouldn't look good in the early 70's let alone 2005. The roofline is okay even if it rips off the Mustang but the front & rear ends are so homely you swear that Subaru or Pontiac designed them.

This is probably the one thing I'll agree with heavyD on. This is not proper treatment of legendary car. They lost me as soon as they decided it should be a 4 door, but the fact that they didn't even do much of a redesign from the 300C means this is disgraceful version of the Charger.
