k heres the question: the cold war is often called an ideological conflict between opposing views about the way nations should be organized. the chart below shows several areas of diffrence between the ideologies of the united states and the soviet union. for each category, identify one feature of each country to show how their ideologies diffred? then theres a chart that has

------------------- UNITED STATES ---------- SOVIET UNION
political system
economic system
individuals role in society
governments role in society

thanx:thumbsup:

USA
indi role - vote, abide by the law, consume products made by multi-national corporations that steal from poor countries;) ...on one of my exams in social studies the main thing is that voter apathy is very bad.

gov't role - enforce law, keep there hands outta the economy, haev a balance of power between senate, president and there equivalent of the house of commons( cant rememebr its name ATM).

Russia (during cold war)

indi role - be part of the working commune, contribute to the betterment of the nation, the betterment of teh nation is the betterment of all of us.

gov't rule - stabilise economy, make future plans (i'm not sure how many years krushcev plans were, stalins were 5 year), help make the nation better.

when u ask for examples of eitehr of the economies, wut do u mean? other nations with teh same economy, or how it works ?

Damn, you kids need to start doing your own homework instead of asking strangers over the internet. Or get help from your classmates or your teacher.

It's pretty bad when you don't know what ecomonic/politcal system two major countries have.

I don't think giving this kid the answers is going to help him much.

the question was asking for examples of how these two economies changed after the cold war.

for russia, the fall of communism was shortly after the cold war ended and that lead them into an era of fledgling deomcracy and i guess the economy would be considered capitalism. ( i'm not sure about what happened directly after the cold war, i imagine the country was strained on resources and money and that's a contributing factor which lead to the fall of communism).

i'm not too sure bout wut happened in america, but it probably stayed relatively the same, the government may have had to stabilise the economy somewhat (because of depletion of resources and funds because of the "war") which was probably done by supply side economics given that the US has a very capitalist system.

which social studies course is this for ?
