Nothing to do with god. Those buildings are still standing because they were built of much higher quality than the shacks around it. The flood waters literally just washed away all the other "buildings" nearby and left this properly built building standing.

Right but there wasent JUST a tsunami, there was also a 9 POINT earthquake on the richter scale that lasted for five minutes, seismatologists said that we would not even be able to comprehend the strength of it, that was the reason why most of the buildings were flattened, the tsunami was the reason for so many people dying....

hmm i dont think so... someone correct me if i am wrong, but i think the earthquake happened under sea, thats why no one got the warning that the tsunami was comming.

Perhaps that one article said wrong, but every news program, article and person has said they had no warning and the waves just started coming. Everyone else is right...unless everyone is wrong but that article.... :dunno:

The Earthquake happened many miles offshore and created the Tsunami.

And trust me, there are qute a few churches, mosques, and monastaries that got destroyed.
