I bought an tiny mp3 for the gym -- Koss 256mb, $99 @ costco. It is the size of a lighter, uses one AAA (that lasts forever) and stores 40 - 70 tracks.

Straight up the best offer out there is the 512MB Sony Mp3 Player at the Sony Store, I bought it for $130 after rebate, otherwise its $160.
