A friend is looking at some used 330s/530s etc, and I'm just curious how much the dealers will move. Like I know Toyota barely moves at all while Ford will give hoards of cash back. But I have no idea about the higher lux brands. Should we at least be able to knock off the GST?

For a used one, there should be more room... for a new one, bend over.

I Am also wondering the same thing on a 350 used

Buying a car in Jan. will get you a good deal anywhere. Get an amateur salesman who is willing to give up more of his commission and you'll get an even better deal.

Maybe he meant 350Z - if there is a 3 series out there with a 5 litre engine I want it!!!

C4S might be able to provide more insight into this. However, from my experience and hearing the personal experiences of recent BMW buyers, a price reduction of $2500 - $2800 is not uncommon for a 3-series.
