NSX would be closer to 130,000 CAD isn't it? I'd rather have a Viper.

I doubt you could build a reliable 450 hp for $10,000 with a warranty.

is it not 50k in us funds? that would come out to 63K witht he current exchange rate.
for the price that i bought my car for that leaves me 14k for performance upgrades, thats more than enough to beat out the 425 crank horse power. dont you agree? not to mention there would be money left over for a few suspension mods wich this car has none other than differnt tires and wheels

Mitsu did the FQ400... much better job done there in packaging IMO. That ESX is heinous.

What's so bad about the FQ400?

I watched the top gear test and the car handled great was bloody fast. Ok, the turning circle would use some work, but other than that, I really like it.

The clutch has a lot of clamping force and the top gear off-boost test is a joke.

STi = 52K out the door

63k-52K = 9K

9K or 14K,either or, will not net you 450 WHP that is reliable. Just because you have money to spend on it, doesn't mean you know how to tune it for
1. Reliability
2. Power

you have to be realisitc. Sure you can buy a UTEC, but with a new turbo exhaust blah blah blah, you need tuning. It's not cheap to get it done by someone you know, and if you plan on doing it yourself, plan on paying extra for your own learning and R&D. Plan on fixing all bugs in the system, plan on fixing your ar on the side of the road, plan on spending TONS of time in your garage.

The NSX I am referring to would be a used one of course. 63k would get you a nice used NSX. Screw the evo and wrx flavors.

I'd go with a used NSX over an EVO/STi as well if it meant paying $63k.

If you are going to get something used... I wouldn't bother with an NSX... I'd be knocking on the door of a nice 911 Turbo...

I like bigger cars. Plus the NSX looks more like a race car over the porshe, then add honda reliability.:bigpimp:

I"m not sure if you guys read the entire post but they are only making 50 of those vehicles in 05 so the chances or getting one in Canada are slim to none.
425 Crank Hp in the Sti is easily reachable for well under 9K.....trust me ;)

01-17-2005, 11:26 AM
Yes 425 is defiantly reachable for under 9k , but you will not have a warranty under it , it will not be dyno tuned ( we have no awd ones) , but at least if you do it yourself you can make it look a bit nicer to the eyes , im not a fan of racing strips :D

That might be the euro way of doing things. Just like how they call tires tyres. However it wouldnt be the first time Ive seen japanese companies put screwed up words and sayings on cars.

Hmm for 63K you cant get much that would compare. A used z06 would be all you could really find. 63K cnd wouldnt even buy you a 993 911 turbo. Although I think a 964 911 turbo might meet that budget and would probably be my choice.
