Why does the redline on the tach start at 5500rpm?? And is that a shift light i see? Please tell me you can turn it off or set it to a specified RPM. My dads jeep TJ had one and it went on every time you went over 3000rpm. Very annoying. But i love car and the dirty pics. Im sure you car is really in its element on a muddy road. Looks like you had a blast.

It looks like the newer models of the M3, the lines go away after the engine heats up so you dont over-rev when it is cold.
Actually the pics of the speedo and revcounter is taken when the car was making a "service-check", it flashes the lights and makes the dials go all the way up and down. :)
The revcounter lights aren't like the M3 ones. :(
They actually use the same revcounter on the all Mini Coopers and therefore they use lights to mark the redline, the redline on the s is at 6 and 1 or 2 more of those lights, understand? around ~6300rpm
I changed a picture.

Nice pics!
My MINI hasn't left the garage in 2 months...:( Now I'm tempted to take it out and get it dirty in the snow/mud.

Shame on you!
Go out and drive it. :)
It's fun playing in the snow, pull the handbrake and drift, a couple of meters before it straightens out again. FWD. :(
No need for a new thread,
Mini is CLEAN, new pictures. :)
