i've been contemplating lately about getting the compustar starter from derdall designs lately and i was just worried about the 1-way issue. generally do i have to worry about the car not starting? i know that 2-way is better because you get feedback but i can't afford that right now so i'm going to stick to 1-way. i just want to know if people have problems having it getting to start, i don't want to buy the thing and end up finding out that alot of the times, i press the button, go to the car and find out that the car hasn't started yet. What is the approximate distance range of the remote? give example please

i think the compustars are 1/4 mile, as long as your not in a cement building its fine. mine worked from inside my house opposite to the garage where my car is and it worked every time.

so what if i'm in a store..or school(MRC)? will it most likely work then?

go with the 2-way for sure , i use to have a 1-way and exactly that i thought my car was started and it wasn't. waste of time on many occassions. spend the extra $150
