I bought some second hand infinity kappa 6x9s (693-5i) and they came without any instructions. there are alot of wires inc. subwoofer etc that i dont have. I simply want to connect the wires that are already at the rear from the old speakers to the 6x9s but am unsure how to do this and dont want to damage them...

can anyone help?

easy, take them off the old speakers, and put them into the terminals on the new speakers. as long as you don't screw with anything else, there won't be any problems. the wire with the stripe on it is positive, I believe. run that one to the black terminal and the other one to the red terminal. bolt the speakers up.

the 6x9s look like they require 4 leads each?
i only have 2 each in the back.

this set has a removeable crossover so you can power the tweets and woofers seperatly, if it is missing you might be outta luck.

ok i got it 2nd hand. no box. no instructions.
i did get a massive bundle of wires.
they go through two small black plastic boxes
are these the cross overs?

I have those exact same speakers in my car.

You should have been given a crossover that comes with the speakers for exactly what futurecivic said, powering the tweeters and the woofers seperately.

If you don't have the crossover it's gonna be tricking wiring those bad boys.
