Do yo mean tyre type or do you mean size? On my truck i am running eagle gps in the rear (215/60r14) and on the front i am running firehawk sh30s (205/60r14)

just make sure you run 2 of each... the tyre sizes will change through manafacutres/model of tyre... even though the size on the side wall is the same.. (same two up front, and same two on teh rear)

I would never run 2 different sets of tires, but if you MUST, then go with same ones at the front and same ones on the rear.

But handling will be all messed up.

Not true.. i would allways slide the rear end out on my truck and never grip when launching with the firehawks on all 4.. then i put the eagles on the back.. and now it holds up really well before the rear end will come out.. and the grip is amazing.. drop 500rpm higher with the eagles

that's probably because the eagles have better grip than the firehawks (assuming your truck is RWD)

You would probably have better traction if you had eagles on all 4.

its like having winters on the fronts and Z rated tires on the rear. Of course your going to have more traction on pavement with the Z rated tires on the rear vs. winters on all 4.

It is a bad idea! Different levels of grip, wear, feedback, etc. Might be okay on granny's K-car, but not on a decent car that will be driven hard.

its a bad idea to mix different brands of tires, any one with tire knowledge can tell you that.

if you have to do it, try to match up the tread patterns best you can. Ie. dont use half snow, half summer treads.

:werd: Bad idea, the tires will wear inconsistantly and from past experience, it makes the car's ride pretty shitty.

Tires are what your car rides on how it comes in contact with the road, don't think you should cut corners here man...:)

if your gonna spend that much on your car, you may as well spend a little extra more for the tires.
Tires are something you should not cheap out on.

I think the P-ZERO line has a stagered combo differently designed tires in the f/b.

although it is best to have the all of the tires the same it is alright to have mixed tires under the following conditions..... the front pair should be the same brand and size.....the rear pair should be the same brand and size....other than that I wouldn't advise it

good luck
