Was wondering for all those who have imported cars, is the pedalsetup switched. Like gas on the right, clutch on the left? I'm pretty sure they aren't but what would i know.:nut:

Still should be the same, as well as the shift-pattern if he's driving a 5-sped.

Signal and wipers are on opposite sides though

alot of people get the impression that RHD drive cars are mirror images of LHD. virtually everything major is EXACTLY the same. :)

Nah - i'm from New Zealand - we are all rhd here and all pedals are in same place - lhd drive cars are really unusual here - has to be a personal import unless its over 20 yrs.

I just can't picture my self driving a RHD car, it's fun to rip through gears with my right hand. But if I were shifting with my left hand that would just feel awkward. And then if the pedals were backwards too, I would never even go near a RHD car in fear of hitting the wrong pedal and killing myself.

PSSST... Shelly, you've never touched a standard before. You still have your learners (as do I) so I'm not seeing how you can "rip through gears with your right hand". And I hate to burst your bubble but just because its RHD doesnt mean its the mirror image of LHD. The steering wheel is just on the other side but the main components are still the right order. Example pedals and gears so there would be no fear of hitting the wrong pedal unless you were just dumb which i hope your not. The only thing usually on the oposite side besides the steering wheel is that windsheild wiper/signal light lever. Common I thought you had more common sense then that.

yeah, for the last time, RHD is not mirror image!
