My main computer isn't booting up. All it does is when i press the button it freezes up with the red hard drive light freezing too. It doesn't blink or anything but just stays red. Nothing appears on screen either. I've tried using different ram, changing hard drives, unplugging some computer hardware.

What is wrong with it??

take out ur ram, put it back in, unplug any hd or cdroms, any extra cards....basically run teh system with only the power supply, cpu, ram, and video card attached...

then add one component at a time til u figure out wahts busted...

if it doesnt work when u have nothing installed..most likely the motherboard died.

Yea, and check the ram and vid card in a computer that you know works first.

no hard drive.....the start up screen should come on without having any hard drive plugged in

u wont need a video card IF your mobo has a built in vid card...
