i have a 256 and it hold roughly about 170 or almost 12 hours so im thinking about half that depending on the quality to transfer to the mp3 player?

It features up to 70 hours of playback on one "AAA" battery and it weighs no more than 60 grams. It holds approximately 170 songs and connects to a USB port for high-speed data transfer. It also comes with music management software.

I think i holds more because of the different format Sony uses. It is called atrack.
