What's the part # on it? They made 2...

is it the ST3120827AS or ST3120026AS (might be 24, i cant remember what the last digit is..)? One was the NCQ version and was not.

Is there some sort of controller card you can buy to use with a mobo that doesn't have sata?

yes there is a controller card you can purchase if your mother board does not have s-ata capabilities.
