This might help you, I think you might even know the guy that is looking for those cars.

If you got a raise and an increase why would you move to calgary?

i am movin coz i am in a small sh!t town right meow where i grew up and i got a best bud in calgary as well as other close friends and i like that city tons.
they honetly could never pay me enuf to stay here, haha.

as fare as the search goes for a cheap type-s i will be patient, i'm not in a huge hurry to be honest, i got time.
there is one that i am considering to go look at in cowtown possibly in less than 2 weeks that i found on the trader for a decent price, a lil more then wat i wanted to spend, but that does happen sumtimes.
the sooner my move will depend on if one of my good friends frum here gets a job with modeling for beyond this spring/summer/fall.

please post as many cars related to the thread as possible, thanx.

Litfl,
if you are looking for a 99 ITR I have one for sale. It is on the banner ad so check it out.
I guarantee you'll have more fun in an ITR than you will in a Type S.
PM me and maybe we can work out a deal.

Nate:thumbsup:

oh dude, i totally agree i would have more fun, and i know they're faster, but it's just not a very practical all round year vehicle, it just lacks sum of the power options and wat not. i would have been very interested in it in the fall but now with winter and all i could not bare myself to drive a type-r in winter, it would kill me worse than me drivin ma lude in winter.
if u have a deal that comes to mind that werks good for both of us with a trade in on either of my cars plus cash then pm me please, thanx.

Faster? Both cars are very close stock for stock with an S being about a 10th of a second quicker in the 1/4 mile. Due to the larger gain of a cold air intake on the S model too, i have seen many type S's with "only" a CAI run 14.8 where as an Type R would be about a 15.1-15.2 in the quarter.

If your looking around, check out the RSX club of Alberta, there are a couple options for you.

Now I'm not too sure where you got the Type R numbers from but we have 2 Speedtech Type R's in town that ran 14.6 with a CAI and exhaust. (mine being one of them).
I have yet to see a N/A Type S compete with an N/A Type R on the drag strip here in town and especially on the road course.

^^^ I got my numbers from Edmonton seeing many cars run. Wow, if you got 14.6 from just an intake and cat back, i stand corrected. I have not seen such stock type r's run so fast, impressive.

Yes, the type R does have a better stock suspension which would show on the roadcourse.

There are about 3 or 4 guys running 14.5 here in Cagary with the Type S, but they have Hondata KPro systems running their systems.

I thought the typeS guys were only able to break into 14s up in Edmonton. Either way from all the reading on h-t Type R is quicker somewhat.

yes, i have heard that with minor mods that the type-s is quciker than the teg still with minor mods to the teg, i am assuming that it may have sumthin to do with the type-s being fully loaded and the type-r not havin all the gizmos that the type-s have.

litfl

i have also heard that only with xhaust, intake, and headers, the type-s gets more than the type-r and is easier/cheaper to do up in smaller mods.

that doesn't really make much sense, unless you meant to talk about a type r, not 2 type s's
