If you plan on getting emanage I think it's good. Also depends on the real price. I'm thinking over 1k CAD.

I'm in HK right now, and I went to a couple shops looking for an AVC-R, and they're all sold out, but have a couple of these profec-e units. And they're selling for $4600HKD, which is around $900.
For that much, I think I would rather just get an AVC-R.

the avc-r is a peice
in my opinion
i had it the same month it came out and i sold it about two months later. I absolutely hated it.
Very inconsistent and a pain in the ass to setup.

AVC-R is crappy if you dunno how to set it up, or you have random intake leaks :D.

I use it on my 944 turbo and it's stable as hell (till I loose an intake boot or something). The gear based boost is awesome for controlling wheelspin in the lower gears.

This new Profec looks awesome though, I want! Datalogging onto SD cards! MMMMMMMMM!!!

Ya, judging from your posts it seems to be working well for you.
I did know how to set it up. Me and Mr.700rwhp supra made countless pulls on our "tuning road" attempting to get it to hold stable to no avail.
I also think its a bit gaudy looking. But does have some useful info presented on its screen. I lost my taste for complex boost controllers after using that and seeing my friends issues with his profec A. I recently purchased myself the evc IV SE..hopefully that sucker can do the trick :b

i have to admit, i did like the gear based boost feature on the avc-r. Pretty cool. My EVC with the external scramble button i bought will have to suffice for now. Another cool solution for that is the racelogic traction control system. I dont know anyone who's used it personally but have found a few reviews saying its the best thing since sliced bread.
