I have a 12inch type R and a alpine mrd 500 1000w digital amp. i Drive a 2004 acura rsx type S. Does any one know if i can hook this up to a factory deck? will the base controll on the deck controll how much the sub pounds??

Ya it can be done but it will sound shitty compared to what it is capable of.

You need to get a Line Out Converter(approx $10-20 US),

You will need to use an inline converter to change the input from speaker wires to RCA's. Or you can use the speaker wires on the high level input on the amp, but it won't sound as good. Just as easy - buy a deck and use the preouts from that.
