Hey.
In the near future I'll be looking for a cheap winter beater.
While there are many cheap cars that can be found out there,
I'd like to become more proficient at a stick. Strangely
enough, it seems that cheap beaters with a stick are rare
here in Calgary.
I'd like to find something a little sporty. Something RWD.
(Easier to do 180 degree turns and I learned on RWD.)
Any recommendations? I'd most likely be looking at early to
mid 1980's era vehicles.
Someone suggested I should look for a Toyota Corolla GTS or
an old beat up Mustang. Any others? Anything I should
avoid?
Thanks.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I thought I'd just let you know I'm selling my truck. It is RWD, although probably not that sporty:

Thanks a lot.

Buy my Cavalier and drive it in reverse. If you turn the seats around it can be RWD (but only in reverse).

I have an 87 BMW 325 that might fit the bill.
RWD, 5 speed, 2.7L engine
