hood shaking(vibrating)

when i turn on my car, i can hear the hood vibrating abit or when I idle at a stop light, i hear the same thing but when i touch the hood just lightly it stops. the steering wheel always vibrates very very lightly. what could be wrong?
i was thinking engine mounts?

It could be the fact that you have an engine 1 foot in front of your wheel.

Your not driving a bentley, vibration happens. As long as your not shaking like a crack fiend you should be okay.

there is a rubber strip that you can purchase for your hood at the dealership which reduces the rattling and shaking of the hood. I suggest you look into buying a new one, your old one may possibly be old and lost its elasticity
