Will the Razr v3 work for any carrier in Canada? Or no cause its GPS.... Anyone out there using one?? I just about bought a V710 today but the salesman told me to wait because they ve been having so many issues...i LOVE the look of the V3.

Could anyone confirm that the RAZR V3 does work since the aquisition of Microcell (Fido) by Rogers Wireless? And that the the phone is able to switch between both networks without any problems. I plan on getting the phone fairly soon.

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

I can confirm it. The phone will switche between the two companies but soon but you're going to have to pay $5 for the feature when the feature stops becoming free sometime in Feb.

rogers users get to switch to the fido network free....but fido users must pay $5 extra per month to use rogers coverage

^^-- That's strange, I coulda sworn that I wrote that the Razor was on Fido but I guess I didn't. Ya I wasn't sure if Rogers was the same as Fido.

Yeap, I have a razr and with Fido. It works just fine. Switches between ROgers and Fido automatically. Dunno if I will have to pay extra, that would suck.
