Counter Strike Source

Ok, so I am playing this game at the Cove in the uni. and I like it. So I head down to EB games and the guy their tells me that you have to buy Half Life 2 and you can only play it through Half Life. But I dont like that Half life game so their is no point to buy that just to play counter strike source. I am just wondering if any of you guys can help me find it somewhere over the net. If I have to pay thats ok, as long as its Counter Strike Source and I can play online. I appreciate your help guys.

CS:S isn't an individual program. It taps into the critical components of HL2, to be able to run.

It's like changing all the exterior panels on your car. It may look different, but it's still the exact same car.

If you want to play Normal counter-strike, you can get that without buying half life. But for source, you need half life 2.
