Video Capture: Hardware and Software - HELP

I'm shopping for a new computer. I'm planning on building a gaming rig (based on an AMD64 3200+, s939 and Nvidia 6600GT/6800/6800GT graphics). But I also want flexible video capture and editing capability. Even though my MiniDV camera can probably transfer directly via Firewire, I also have older analog camcorder footage that I want to transfer also (as well as possibly some VHS material).

I'm looking at several options for the capture hardware (and software):
Turtle Beach Video Advantage
Pinnacle Studio Moviebox DV (ver 9)
Canopus ?

Any Pinnacle Studio 9 users out there, for example?

u cud go old vidcam -> firewire compatible vidcam -> computer.
