Much better than the outgoing model (tailights aside). I always thought the Miata looked too feminine... I hope they beefed up the performance along with the styling.

The guy driving looks like he was pasted in

It resembles the RX8 too much I think. I think prefer the concept one down a few threads.
Not saying this one is bad though. Looks abit wider than the previous ones.

Hmm so what exactly does "So farht der mx-5" mean...:)..

I kinda like the second gen of the miata, it had a little of the "fd" influence in it, this new one is a little to rx-8 for me...Maxt

I suppose just scaling the rx-8's sheetmetal down to fit was easier and cheaper than hiring a designer....

So will there be a rotary option?

ACTUALLY, the general consensus on miataforum.net is that the pic is a photoshop.

it MIGHT be the real one, but we won't know until the Geneva Auto show

--

there is no plan for a rotary option since there are rumors of a convertible rx7

Yeah, i read that some people think its a photoshop and that it's common practice for some euro mags to make shit up (the National Enquirer of car mags). If that's the case sorry for making another BS post about the "new miata" lol.

It is a chop.
Beyond the spy pics of the new mx5 that is heavily disguised being test driven at the track, there are no real confirmed pics of the mx5 yet.

The Geneva Auto Show is only a few weeks away, then we'll get to see the real deal there

I would love to see what the next Miata will offer.

Especially that now that GM has the upcoming Soltice and Sky that trumps it in every way.

I dun think the Sky will come close to trumping the MX5; the Solstice... mebbe, but it seems heavy so I dun think it will be much of a contender.
