i was just wondering are the newer Honda civic SIR hatchbacks faster then the older coupe versions?

No. The 1999-2000 Sir with the B16A (0-60 in 7.4 sec) was/is quicker than the Sir Hatchback (0-60 in 7.8 sec) with the K-series engine. Not exactly slow but not very inspiring either.

Define faster. In a straight line the 99-00. In the twisties 02-04.

lol, b-series motors make 5 hp with basic bolt ons. k-series with bolt ons will tear that apart.

yeah, with the same mods the K series would own one.. even though i want to buy an 00 SIR :)..
i work at honda.. i hate the new SIR, they suck to drive.
