ISO 100
1/200 sec with flash
f/11 using that 50mm f/1.8 II lens

Kirbs17: That's a nice pic! I can't wait until we start getting lightning storms again. I didn't get my 300D until after they stopped this summer :banghead:

Ekliptix: Those are awesome, especially the drops! Did you use the extension tubes on that those?

Yep.
Equipment:
-Canon Digital Rebel
-Canon 50mm F1.8
-Extension Tubes
-Mom's old hotshoe flash mounted on the camera (would have been better if it was remote mounted)
-2 junk lights laying around

Question for photographers:

Does photography (landscape) get easier when you can drive? I'm 100 percent sure it does, because, well, if I want to take pics like Ben's first one I just have to happen to be in the right place at the right time AND have my camera on me, whereas if I could drive I could simply pop out to some fields early in the morning. Right now, my photography is limited to anything in my house. Which sucks.:thumbsdow

EDIT BTW this is why I can't wait for GT4 Photomode.

Holy Jesus Lovers!!! Graham you take the most intense photos I have ever seen -- and you should see the family stack of National Geographics we have. Any words of advice for taking droplet photos?? ;) ;) ;)

You'll need a lot of light. Like 2 lamps really close to the drop point. Try glass with tinfoil under it too. Here was my setup:

I said I couldn't get anything too far from my house, so while I was brushing my teeth one day, I looked up at my bathroom light and said 'I want to take a picture of that'. So I did.

VERY LIGHTLY CHOPPED, even though it looks really weird. The lamp looks a lot different, but it came out of the camera looking like this, I changed the lighting and color less than 5-10 percent.:dunno:

My latest lunar composite.

Composed from 10 separate images totaling 3209 640x480 frames:

The same image, but with a bit of unsharp mask applied to it. Do you think the unsharp mask is overdoing it?

The unsharp masking does kinda create a fake/editted look to the overall pic. The craters look odd IMO. But still that is a crazy ass picture man... You must have one damn sweet telescope.

AMAZING PIC!!

Thanks guys! Those comments mean a lot to me, cause I don't want all my standing outdoors in the cold to be in vein! I still have a couple more videos I need to process into images, so I'm wondering how well those will turn out.

DJ Lazy: Actually I have 3 telescopes :D I'm probably gonna put 2 of them up for sale soon so I can get another afterwards though :)

Took many, many tries, but I finally managed a decent image of Saturn. The little speck underneath it is Titan, where the Hyugens' spaceprobe is :)

Processed from 356 frames of video.

I have some in color too, but they still need a bit of post processing.

Looking at some of those craters makes me wonder how many times the moon has saved parts of earth from getting hammered by something big.. :dunno:

Another amazing photo man!!
