From another site:

"These pics came from a guy in AZ. Yes, the mule killed the mountain lion.

The lion had been stalking them for the better part of the morning, on the way out to a hunt. They were pretty sure it was after one of the dogs.

The cat ambushed them, and the mule pictured tossed its rider and went into attack (defense) mode, the horses scattered and shots were fired but no one was sure if they hit the cat or not.

Unfortunately, it wasn't until it was almost over that one of the guys started snapping pics.

The mule finally stomped the cougar to death after biting and throwing it around like a rag doll.

The dogs wouldn't even come close until the mule settled down.

The cat was still alive here and trying to fight back

The mule stomped the cat then pinned it to the ground and bit the heck

out of the dead cat several more times.

The cat was pretty much dead by now then mule picked up the cat again whipped it

into the air again then stomped the dead cat again for good measure!

Note the dog audience

I'd say most of you have probably never been around mules, minus the mother in law of course. Amazing creatures indeed...

No one can really be sure the lion was alive to start with.

lol, but really I'm making my assumptions based on the pictures not the story. And the mountain lion appears pretty lifeless. He could have been caught in a trap.

True, but Mule's aren't meat eaters. If it was dead why would the mule pick it up and chew on it. It would just ignore it. The only way a mule would pick up a mountain lion is if it was trying to protect itself.

i'm sure the mountain lion is still alive just by looking at the first picture... i mean, when the mule is grabbing the cats leg, the cats (mountain lion) upper body arches upwards. this probably wouldn't happen if the cat was dead. If the cat was dead, the upper body wouldn't arch up, it would arch down

you can also see the dogs in the background which i didn't notice the first time i looked at them

If the mule was swinging the corpse of the lion, it would arch up like that from momentum, so in that pic it could easily be dead, which is my guess.

Mules are cool, but it would've been better if it was a llama.

lol i was telling dubol (who started explaining why he thought the lion was still alive) that it doesnt say the lion is dead in the picture in the first place...im not saying the lion is alive, just repeating what was said under the pic
