My Honda Accord is at 48k now and its time for me to bring it in for a Type 4 maintenance. When I called the service deparment they told me it was going to cost me $390.00 for the Type 4 maintenance to be performed on my car.

Now I just want your guys opinion on if its even worth it to bring it into Honda and pay that high amount, or to bring it to another shop (Blaskin) where they will do the exact same service for a fraction of the price (approx $100). Is it really worth $390 to get a certified honda mechanic to perform this on my car?

This is what the Type 4 maintenance for my car looks like:

Factory Recommended Maintenance
Type 4

Replace engine oil* and filter.
Service front and rear brakes.
Rotate tires**, inspect for wear and adjust pressure.
Lubricate all hinges, locks, and latches with multipurpose grease.
Inspect tie rod ends, steering gear box and boots.
Inspect suspension components.
Inspect driveshaft boots.
Inspect parking brake adjustments.
Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS).
Check all fluid levels, condition of fluids, and check for leaks.
Inspect cooling system hoses and connections.
Inspect exhaust system.
Inspect fuel lines and connections.
Check all lights.
Inspect the underbody.
Inspect and adjust drive belts.
Replace dust and pollen filter (if applicable).
Replace air cleaner element

The thing is sometimes it'll void you're warranty if you take it elsewhere. Check into that. If I recall Honda's really sticky like that.
