I'll never be sold on the idea of SUVs running around with Porsche badges, but the new look is a bit better than the old one I guess :dunno: It's still a Porsche Touareg

Is that a new hood? Its kind of dark in the pictures, cant tell if its just a cover of some sort or a vent (between the headlights). The headlights look really nice though.

Haha, nice plate. Does that mean the SUV has 26 lbs of torque? :D

I like the new lights, they look quite aggressive. The hood is normal, the camouflage masking makes it appear to have a vent.

It's getting better, but it's still quite ugly imo. The headlights are nice, and it would proabably look sweet if it was dropped a bit and only viewed from the front, but the rear looks like a hyundai santa fe with vw golf tail lights :barf:

i still hate it. they should have let VW handle the suv.

Still just as ugly as always. Acura/Infinit/Lexus/BMW all have better offerings. The only one that rivals it for ugliness is the MB.

I heard somewhere that the SUV is their best selling vehicle in Canada. I guess you make what people want :dunno:

If I am not mistaken, VW and Porsche used the platform as a joint venture. Neither one owns the other.

I believe that Audi will be coming out with there own version (was dubbed the Pikes Peak).

I say every Porsche is ugly. stupid quirky styling. I would still drive any Porsche though, no problem.

Love it or hate it, the Porsche Cayenne is to receive a minor facelift.

Not the full-scale overhaul its detractors would recommend, but tweaks to its head- and taillights, slight bumper and bonnet reshaping, and perhaps small changes to its suspension and chassis; the car snapped here appears to be quite low-riding, and to have a longer front overhang.

Although the 911 has reverted to the signature Porsche circular headlights, the Cayenne's lights are to get yet more slanted and angular, perhaps in a bid to create more of a distinction from the 911, Boxster and upcoming Cayman and to establish it as a Porsche model in its own right, rather than a 4x4 pretending to be a sports car. The rear LED taillights are also less referential.

These tweaks should, Porsche hopes, keep up interest in the Cayenne until the Mk2 range comes along; this is scheduled for 2008, and is expected to include a Yank-friendly, RX400h-rivalling hybrid petrol-electric version, though - despite rumours - a VW-derived diesel is looking unlikely.
