Bomb threat at SAIT Res

Around 1o'clock, there was a bomb threat at sait residence today.
Police/ambulance/firefighters were there for a while
They even used police tape around the building

i was there till around 230 but nothing happened

anybody know if anything actually did happen after?

I was in the Heart/Riley building from 8-4, and didn't even hear anything of it.. haha:dunno:

they were pretty low key about it :D I was in the heart building and had no clue until a buddy who lived in rez decided to not skip and come back to class because he couldn't get in his dorm.

haha its was funny.. there were like tons of cops there and some guy in my course that is in first year said it was his roommates room i guess but thats all i heard.. so he cant go into his room at all until whenever they let him.. and they let some of the other ppl back in.. they had the robot out and shit and even the dogs.. feel sorry for the all ppl with drugs in there rooms.. but thats all i know for now..

I just got an E-mail this evening saying that the threat was off and people were allowed to go back to their rooms..

i have a question about living in residence...do things you see in movies really happen in residence..like all those crazy keg parties...i just wanna know because i going to post secondary next year and wanna know if residence life is like or similar to the movies??

haha yeah it was pretty quiet. one of my classmates couldn't get his uniform to go to work after school.

hahahha oh man i dunno where to begin, its not crazy liek amovie, are your highschool parties like movie parties? most likely not, i dont live in rez but some of my friends do, in lethbridge theres a good kegger every weekend but thats here(and not in rez) but i can assure you its not like the movies:rolleyes:

I couldn't get back to my room for lunch cause of the bomb threat. They finally let people in after 4 and there were still cops around until 12:30 last night.

A friggen nuisance I tell you. Other than having a $hit load of cops around, nothing happened as far as I know.

There was rumours in my class this morning that it might not have been a bomb threat that it might have been a suicide and they wanted to keep it low key. I dont know, just what i heard seems like alot of work to go to, in an attempt to cover something up so people dont get worried ect...

Hey I dont know just what was being said, people might find it easier to shrug off a "fake" bomb threat than a suicide.:confused:

I'd like to know how security found this "device" in the kids room in the first place. Obviously they were there for a reason and found something odd... but why?
