yup.. i started calgarypaintball.com. Check out the for sale sections. If I were you I'd go down to rampage paintball on the practice nights and talk to some people first about your budget and what is the best gun / air system etc.

Is that $500 just for the gun? Or does that count air tanks too?

What kind of ball are you going to play the most? Team speedball? What position would you play?

Go talk to Brian at Rampage. I'm sure he'll let you give a few guns a try at the range. Is $500 for the gun or for the gun, hopper, tank, etc? I've been out of paintball for a while, but prices have come way down! You can probably pick up a used autococker w/ all the extras for around that. Or like an electro spyder or something?

Im lookin for probably about 500 for just the gun, but im really into playing more long range sniper games, so I really want something that will be amazing accurate, but at the same time can be fully auto. Any suggestions?

www.paintballgear.ca

So your looking for woodsball outdoors??

I would go with a mechanical cocker, they have new ones that are pretty damn cheap.

Yeah Out door is great, but I will be playing indoors also.

Sorry.... but there is no such thing as a "sniper" in paintball. Damn noobs always want to be snipers. A flatline barrel will give you a longer range, but accuracy relies on a correct barrel to paint size match. For the love of god don't get a 21" barrel thinking it will make you super accurate.

A Tippmann A5 with e-grip and flatline barrel would do what you want for outdoors, but you will be laughed at when playing indoors.

I have been looking into a lot of used cockers and angels. are these appropriate guns for my uses?

I own both a cocker and a BM2K, but have used just about everything over the years, VM-68 to Angels. I still love the auto cocker. It has a great feel to it and is nice and accurate. If you go that way, I'd match it up w/ a boomstick. It will be a well balanced gun for your needs (boomstick on a cocker is nice and quite for outdoor use), and the cocker can still pump out the paint for those fast pase, high volume speedball games.

If you are going to play mostly tournaments, you may want to go electro, but by the sounds of it an autococker would give you a good balance of accuracy and volume.

The new 2K5 autocockers go for about $500, and they have a base 2004 for something like $300, although it’s not as upgradeable. Boomsticks used to run about $200, but I’m sure you can find one cheaper now. CO2 tank is about $60 (20oz), or a steel 68/3000 should run you about $160? Add a revolution hopper for about $100.

I recommend this company. I found local shops to be way overpriced when I bought my gear. Saved me hundreds.

Might want to check out the WGP (Worr Games) markers.
