Brought it in from the US. It was pretty easy(I still need to do the federal inspection but I don't see any problems.) Got the car shipped up and was really happy with the shipping company(Car Couriers.)

I'm impartial to the CH's but they are growing on me. The car needs wheels with more dish. I'll probably be selling them soon(M3 fitment so they should be easy to sell.)

yeh definately get rid of the CH's and get some wheels with some crazy dish on them, they don't really suit the car IMO (big bulging fenders and then wheels with no lip = don't work)

Very nice car!

I like the CH's on the shoe. Different is good

Yep. analog clock, voltmeter and oil temp. I'd like to replace the voltmeter or clock with oil pressure.

would it be possible to give us more details on how it was done? you basically hired a shipping company that did customs for you and all you have to do now is an inspection?

Pretty much.

Check at www.riv.ca to see which vehicles can be imported from the states, if it can be it's very easy. You(or the shipping company/customs broker) have to fill out a form at the border, pay the riv fees, pay gst/duty and you're on your way. Then you have 45 days to complete the nessecary modifications to pass the federal inspection(in my case I just need daytime running lights.) Once you pass that you can go and get the provincial inspection done and you can finally register the car.

It's not too hard. The hardest part for me was getting the dealership to get some title stuff worked out(the original title *has* to be with the car when it crosses the border and a copy must be faxed to the border crossing 72 hours in advance.)

Oh, okay, at one point, I was just thinking to get a 96 M3 (I see 95 isn't on the list). Daytime running is easy to do! You jsut get the DRL relay....!
