The February issue of Sport Compact Car had an article on the GTR35. It stated that the 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR will be an all wheel drive version of the 350Z/G35 with a twin turbo V6 (probably VQ30DETT or VQ35DETT similar to the ones currently being used in the JGTC). It will likely have a open bumper for the FMIC and the dual round taillights. It will also be equipped with ATTESSA and HICAS. The prototype was photographed being tested at Nurumberging and it is said that it will come to North America. So instead of looking at the above picture, imagine a G35 with round taillights.

I have that issue. If anyone thought the GTR wouldn't look like a G35 or even a 350Z, they were kidding themselves.

it shouldn't be a surprise that the R35 is coming to North America - Nissan had stated explicitly that they would be releasing the GTR GLOBALLY.

on another note: HICAS? what the heck... that'll just be excess baggage. :thumbsdow

This image is a little old, but most of the press in Japan is saying it's the closest to the actual GT-R prototype that will be shown this Nov in Tokyo at the Auto Salon.

Of course, in North America the car will be sold as the Infiniti GT-R, I can't wait for this thing to show up. I'll have one of the first five in Canada according to my guy at Nissan North America who is setting it up for me with Nissan/Infiniti Canada. I used to do a lot of work with NNA so it finally paid off. I can't wait for late 2006/early 2007.
