Sweeping Action in gauges?

Why do some gauges have the sweeping action, like the needles moves from one end to the other end and back?

Which manufacturer makes these gauges that do the sweeping action? I want some...it looks damn cool:hitit:

not sure why they do they sweep... calibration maybe? but it looks cool...

Defi gauges do the sweep, I want them but they are hella money... correct me if I'm wrong, but the stock STi gauges are manufactured by Defi, so if you get Defi gauges in an STi they sweep at the same time...

Autometer has a new line of gauges out that does the sweep as well, it is the 'Nexus' line...

Newer grand am guages sweep too, its just a startup sequence, more cool factor than anything I believe....

those autometer are pretty cool! especially the warning red! and how they change when you exceed what you have programmed! Delfi are still wayyy PIMPER

air fuel gauges but I haven't seen one with a needle so I don't know if that helps

Alot of street bikes do it as well...hell, even some of the dodge caravans do it now :rofl:

HKS gauges do it as well.

ya more of a bling factor for yourself if your into it. the stock stis do it when you place the key in.

when u have auto start kinda nullifies the use of it. or when its blistering cold out and the first thing u wanna do is run in and start the car jump out and scrape ice like a mofo and hop back in and go.
