just like to start off by saying that i know dick all about turbo's, and i need some help deciding what to buy.
i drive a 01 integra gsr, and i'm really thinking about forced induction after driving a couple of my friends cars. not much, under 10psi cuz it's a daily driver. also, i'm not looking to spend much over $1000.
so if u have any ideas about a type of turbo, brand, price, and where i could get one that would be great!

If you are looking to spend 1000 bux for the entire setup give up now. It's NOT possible.

he's right, you won't even come CLOSE even buying all your parts used, you will need to budget at least $2,000.
if you are really serious, ask legendboy. he does nice work.

1000 buck BEARLY gets you USED/GHETTO parts... maybe.... I think Leo might have done it for around that range... but if you are not going to do it properly I say don't do it at all.. you car won't survive.

If you want it done correctly so you don't blow your motor you would be looking at 3000

This is true man! haha, I did do it for that price range but...I revamped the kit quite a bit to finally get it to where I want. My current setup is quite decent but I did have to spend a hell of a lot more than that original 1000 dollars...I had to add an additional 300 dollars!!!  Oh well, at least I was happy and the car was a lot better! But even spending that huge 1300 dollars, I still am gonna put more money into it. Finally gonna have the block built so yah, that'll but me over my original budget by about 4 times!! haha:rofl:

Oh yah, and it's all about who you know!;) Thanks again Legendboy, Rage2 and Egmike!

if you REALLY wanted to go ghetto, you could probably do it for about $200 though

if you do all the work yourself and use junkyard stuff you can do it, but you will have to get lucky of finding some parts or its not gonna be very fast.

the way i look at it man, don't ruin an 01 gsr if you don't have some more money to build a setup worthy of the car! :)

I'm useless. I'm just there for moral support, and to bum smokes off people lol.
