Broken security trunk lock

I have a1993 Taurus that has a inside security trunk lock at the bottom of the front sear. I do not have the key to this lock, and it is depressed so the security function is on, whcih leaves me unable to open the trunk. Any ideas on how to open this auxillary lock so I can open the trunk? Thanks!

Those locks are garbage, In one of my cars the thieves just ripped it out of the floor lol. They don't do much good at keeping people out of your trunk. I'd say just bust the lock because you'll never really need it. Or try picking it.

Take a drill, add a nice metal bit... and have fun for a few minutes.
