Has anybody installed or knows someone who has intalled the essential speed turbo kit on a Protege 5? I'm trying to find out if it's worth the $5000 it costs.

Well being one of the resident experts, i had a look at their site for ya.
My opnion, not worth 5k. Just look at whats included lol
-Ceramic coated Stainless Steel Manifold
-TEO4H Turbo(Custom Trim)
-Ceramic coated Stainless Downpipe w/EGR & O2 Fitting and EGT Gauge bung
-Charge Piping w/Filter and vacuum lines
-Intake Piping (Turbo to Intake)
-All Fittings and Lines for Oil and Water hook-ups
-Silicone hoses and gear clamps
-Turbo Smart Blow Off Valve
-Vortech FMU, O2 Modifier
-Spearco Front mount Intercooler
-Intercooler Piping
-Manual Boost Controller.
So you get a log manifold, with the extra ceramic coating which stainless doesn't need (same with the downpipe)
You get a crappy turbo
No external wastegate
Ghetto looking intake and charge pipes
Ghetto looking silicone couplers and canadian tire type clamps
Some cheap, retarded looking partsource oil line fittings
An fmu and a grainger valve for a boost controller
