~$200 w/ shipping / duty -- great deal, would have cost me twice as much here.

From a Sanelli dealer in Houston, great commercial grade knives -- ceramics are nice but not worth the $$$ in my opinion. After watching my dad shatter his on a tile floor I vowed never to buy one.
PM me if you need contact info for the vendor.

Not sure yet, unlike most people I use a steel on my knives each and every time before using so I have been pretty lucky keeping an edge.

Ouch man, I have seen grand prix 7 piece sets on ebay for less than $200 CAD or even on amazon a 5 piece for $99:

Nice knives! I was planning on getting this set but I had my heart set on Wusthof Culinar knifes! Glad to see you got the Santoku knife with the hollow edge! That is probably the BEST knife you will ever use! I am also thinking about getting the Nakiri knife by MAC. Heard anything about it?
And for madspinner, you knifes most likely went dull because of not using a steel! Most knifes will last a VERY VERY long time if you take proper care of them, from storing, washing and sharpening!

I park my dirt bike in the garage of the place im renting and the landlord had a bunch of shit he was going to throw away in there. So the other day when I was in there I looked around. I found the Miracle Blade Perfection series in there. I brought them inside and they cut ok but after cutting a boot in half they just didn't filet the filet of a tomato very well. :D
