I've been looking around for which company has the lowest price for these bikes. Bow Cylce is selling the 04 RR's for 10k, which im sure they'd move a little on. I have also been looking used but I want new as in 03-04. And when I do find them used the price difference between them and a new bike is maybe 1-2k or so, so why wouldnt a guy spend a little more and get a brand new? Anyways just wondering if anyone knew of some places with great deals on?. Thanks!

All dealers pretty much need to keep the same pricing on new bikes. If that's the retail price, then that's it. Also, you gotta pay GST on top of that.

If you buy used from private, you don't pay GST. Also, because of the high demand in bikes and the low supply, they keep their value pretty good.

Pretty much any new Japanese super bike in the 600CC range will cost you about 10K + gst.

like djstefan said, GST is what you pay on top. Plus some used bikes like mine are almost brand new and come with stuff like rear stand and cover. Others will throw in used helmets and jackets.

When I was buying my 03 back in the 03/04 winter season, $10k was the lowest that I saw at dealerships that were trying to move the brand new 03's. So I doubt that Bow Cycle will go below $10k. Then again, I'm in Edmonton so things may be different down in Calgary. Have you tried some dealerships in the boonies like Red Deer?

I have also been looking used but I want new as in 03-04.

Doubt you'll find a brand new 03 in Canada now.

Guys I live in Edmonton and last season I bought my 2003 GSXR 600 Brand new for $9200. But yes the taxes still come in and all that junk. It came out to just over $10,000. Just look around and you will find deals. Wait a little bit and see what happens to those prices once dealerships get a bunch of new 05's in and dont have room for their 04's. Prices will drop. I bought mine at Riverside Suzuki in St. Albert.

On another note... ITS ALMOST TIME TO RIDE AGAIN!! Ive already seen a couple hardcore's out riding a bit around Edmonton. And today and tommorow are supposed to be +6
If the water doesnt run to much onto the main roads we may be in buisness to get out this week. Will be a little cold but thats where the full leathers come in

I might be selling mine soon. It only has about 7000-8000 km on it and was only riden last season. It was brand new built from the crate in 04. I am asking $7900 o.b.o. But I am happy with keeping it to and almost might be sad if someone wants to buy it.. lol. I just got married and am buying a house soooo I want to try and keep my bike but might need to sell it. :banghead:

A friend of mine got an 04, 600rr in black for $9500 last season at Blackfoot, also not sure if you would be interested but her boyfriend is selling an 04 954RR for just $10500 with some mods.
Those are an awesome machine, 3 of my buddies have them and they rock. Good luck with shopping, Peter
