I got some wings from superstore the other day, and they claim there's 22g of protein per 2-3 wings! Is this even true? Usually I would probably have like 10 wings per sitting, so you could get ~100g of protein per 10 wings? Seemed kinda fishy to me...

Maybe for 2-3 pounds.....:dunno: but not for 2-3 wings!!

I whole chicken breast has about 20g. So if you compare that, it dosn't fit.

yeah, thats what I thought too. But it says on the box per 100g serving (2 or 3 pieces) 22g protein.

It's not uncommon for some varieties to have 6-7 grams of protein per wing.

Too bad the fat content pretty much matches the protein content. IE - 22 g of protein wih 24g of fat.

well on the wings that I'm talking about, its 13g of fat for every 22g of protein. Still high in fat, but if the protein content is actually that much, I'm willing to make that sacrifice (especially if your bulking)

Yeah, it depends on the brands... I was referring to mostly weight loss though :)

A big appeal for me is noticing the carb content. Although fat and protein levels usually match each other, the carbs on most servings is under 2 grams per serving.

As discussed many times before, your body can break down and use fat for muscle energy quicker and easier than it can carbohydrate energy (sugar).
